Our story
Our story begins in an industrial town along the south-west coast of the United Kingdom.
Since the Middle Ages Bridport has a long history of being the rope and net making centre of the region – a moniker that still exists today. The earliest official record of this industry dates from 1211, when King John ordered that Bridport ”make as many ropes for ships both large and small and as many cables as you can” from flax and hemp grown in the countryside.
Inspired by the history of hemp in our own backyard, coupled with our desire to deliver quality organic hemp-based products to the cannabis industry, we formed the Zizi brand. We partnered with a team known for cultivating high-grade organic hemp and the rest is history.
